We've chosen the path to equality; don't let them turn us around. - Geraldine Ferraro

About Us   2012 JCDW Board:

The Johnson County Democratic Women’s organization is alive and kicking! We are dedicated to promoting a vibrant Democratic Party in Johnson County and the state of Kansas. We are from all walks of life, from that of career professionals, stay-at-home moms and retirees, yet we share a common bond in encouraging civic participation.

Our Mission:

  • Encouraging more active citizen participation
    in the Democratic Party.
  • Offering educational experiences in the
    political process and current issues.
  • Encouraging full participation of women
at every level of the Democratic party structure.
  • Taking an active role in providing financial
    assistance to Democratic candidates.

JCDW seeks to help shape public policy, by educating ourselves about issues as well as the positions of those who seek to serve us in public life. As Democrats, we are dedicated to promoting women who seek public office or pursue leadership roles within Party organizations.

We are an integral part of the resurgence of the Democratic Party in Johnson County! Our membership is steadily growing, reflecting the desire for change throughout our society. As we move toward the 2010 mid-term elections, we will be drawing on the various talents and skills of our vibrant members. We invite you to fully participate in improving the lives of our community by supporting Democratic candidates and our Party’s stand on important issues such as health care, education and the economy.
